Vitamin B6. Description, chemical formula, role and characteristics.
It takes part in the metabolism of carbohydrates, fats and proteins, but its main function is the assimilation of amino acids. It also acts in the formation of red blood cells or erythrocytes.
The deficiency of vitamin B6 is related to skin disorders, cracks at the corners of the lips, thicken tongue, convulsions, dizziness, nausea, anemia and kidney stones.
The main sources of vitamin B6 are grains, bread, liver, avocados, spinach, green
beans (green beans) and banana. The necessary amount of pyridoxine is
proportional to the amount of protein consumed.
